How do I get a booking?

There are two ways to get a cat sitting booking through Cat in a Flat.

1. Cat Owners will contact you directly

Cat owners will search for lovely cat sitters in their area, if they like the sound of your profile (we’re sure they will), they will be able to contact you directly.

  • You will receive a notification and email to alert you to their request

  • Please respond as quick as you can within the booking thread

  • If you would like to do the job, please press the ‘Available’ button as this will then allow the cat owner to confirm the booking

  • For first time clients please arrange a Meet & Greet at least 3 to 4 days before the booking is due to start.

  • If the booking is going ahead please make sure the cat owner confirms the booking before it is due to start.

PS. To receive immediate notifications for new job offers, make sure you have our app downloaded.

2. Cat owners can send out a Job Request to cat sitters in their area

If a cat owner posts a job request, the closest cat sitters will be alerted by email only (you will not receive a notification). 

All other cat sitters in the wider area can still login and see the request in the "Job Opportunities" section and reply to the owner through the booking channel. This is done so that a cat owner does not get overwhelmed with too many replies at once.

To find the Job Opportunities, please login and go to your inbox (envelope top right).

In there you will see a tab at the bottom that says 'New Job Opportunities'. If you cannot see this tab, it means that there are no current opportunities.
