How many hours does house sitting require me to be in the house?

Most house sitting jobs require you to stay overnight so that you are there for morning and evening feeds and to give the kitty more company in general. This is usually for a 12hr period from 7pm - 7am each day (as most sitters will need to go to their day jobs during the day).

As a house pet sitter you will never be expected to stay in the house 24/7 but as with every booking each owner and cat's requirements are different, some may be really old or really young and require extra attention, some may just enjoy greeting you when you come home from spending the day at work.

Always make sure expectations are very clear when confirming the house sitting job with the cat owner. If needed you can agree an additional fee with them and amend the price of the booking manually.
